Department of Home Affairs had advised the State/Territory Government’s DHA is not nominating nomination allocations for skilled visa subclasses 491 & 190 on 1 July 2020.
Program settings for the skilled migration program remain unaltered ahead of the 2020-21 Budget, the State & Territory governments’ have no ability to nominate either existing or intending applicants in those two 190 and 491 visa subclasses.
We understand that the Department of Home Affairs may make further announcements to the State and Territory governments about nomination allocations ahead of the 2020-21 Budget which is on 6 October 2020.
This is not the first time the Department has delayed releasing nomination allocations on 1 July.
With subclass 189 invitations being very low at present and now with what amounts to be a temporary nomination suspension of the 491 and 190 visas until budget 2020 – 2021
